How Long Do Men Really Last in Bed?

Ever wondered how long the average man lasts in bed? Many of us have, but few discuss it openly. Research offers some enlightening insights. A large-scale study involving 500 couples from the Netherlands, UK, Spain, Turkey, and the US found that the median Intravaginal Ejaculation Latency Time (IELT) is around 5.4 minutes. This study provides a clearer picture of what to expect and helps set realistic expectations.

Understanding IELT

IELT, or Intravaginal Ejaculation Latency Time, measures the duration from the start of vaginal penetration to ejaculation. Here's a closer look at the findings from different countries:

  • Turkey: Men had the shortest median IELT at 3.7 minutes.

  • Netherlands and Spain: Men reported slightly higher median IELT.

  • UK and US: Median times were closer to the overall average of 5.4 minutes.

The study also found that younger men (18-30 years) had a longer median IELT of 6.5 minutes, while older men (51+) had a shorter median of 4.3 minutes. Interestingly, factors like circumcision and condom use did not significantly impact these times.

Boosting Sexual Vitality with Qigong

Qigong, an ancient Chinese practice of coordinated body posture, movement, breathing, and meditation, offers significant benefits for sexual vitality and improving IELT. Here's how:

1. Improved Breath Control:

  •  Qigong teaches deep, controlled breathing, which helps manage arousal and delay ejaculation.

2. Increased Blood Flow:

  • The exercises enhance blood circulation, supporting stronger and longer-lasting erections.

3. Enhanced Mind-Body Connection:

  •  Regular practice improves your awareness and control over your body's responses, leading to better sexual performance.

4. Stress Reduction:

  • Qigong reduces stress and anxiety, which are often culprits of premature ejaculation.

Benefits of Key Qigong Exercises

1. Deep Abdominal Breathing:

  • Promotes relaxation and reduces tension in the pelvic floor, crucial for delaying ejaculation.

2. The Hundred Breaths:

  • Enhances focus and mental clarity, helping you stay in control during intimate moments.

3. Self-Pleasuring Techniques:

  • Improves stamina and control, translating to better performance with a partner.

4. Scrotal Compression:

  • Reduces the likelihood of premature ejaculation and strengthens sexual vitality.
